Mains Crane Takes Delivery of 150 Ton Grove Rough Terrain Crane

Mains Crane & Rigging Ltd. has taken delivery of a new Grove RT3150E – 150 Ton Capacity Rough Terrain Crane.

Bernie Buettner, P.Eng. – General Manager says, “This new 150 Ton Grove RT is a great complement to the three (3) - 130 Ton Grove RT’s that we already have in our fleet. We’ve been pleased with the performance of our larger RT’s and I don’t expect any difficulties achieving our utilization goals with this machine.”

“This new crane represents the beginning of our short term capital investment strategy,” says Alan Swagerman, P.Eng. – President of the Mains Group of Companies. “We will be adding additional new assets as the year progresses, in both Mains Crane & Rigging and Mains Transportation Services. These new additions to our already extensive fleet will allow us to further improve the services that we are currently providing to our growing client base.”

Mains Crane & Rigging Ltd. is a privately owned crane rental company that primarily services western Canada. In recent years, operations have expanded into the United States as Mains Crane USA, Inc., with branch operations in North Dakota.

Carolyn Mains, Chairwoman of Mains Crane & Rigging Ltd., is extremely pleased to announce the appointment of Alan Swagerman, P. Eng., as President of the Mains group of companies which includes Mains Crane & Rigging Ltd., Main Crane USA, Mains Transportation Services Inc., Nisku Engineering Ltd., and Independent Crane & Equipment Ltd.

Alan has been involved in the crane rental industry for over 25 years in both eastern and western Canada. He is highly respected in the industry, having served on the boards of both the Crane Rental Association of Canada and the Crane Rental Association of Ontario.

Alan brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to his leadership role at the Mains group. Under his guidance, the exceptional team at the group of companies will continue to provide existing and potential customers with outstanding service.
